EyeOnWater (EOW) services give consumers direct access to their water consumption data and provide tools to help them manage their water use. EOW enables customer outreach and delivers information to them on the web and through mobile apps. EyeOnWater also delivers leak alerts and usage trends to customers through email, text messages or on-smart device notifications.
See “Smart Water Meters and Data Analytics Decrease Wasted Water Due to Leaks” (Journal of the American Water Works Association, 2018) to learn how a large-scale deployment of smart water meters and consumer access to EyeOnWater helped minimize water loss and damage due to leaks.

Canada at https://eyeonwater.ca/signin.
The EU at https://eyeonwater-eu.com/signin. - Recommended QR code dimensions based on usage and scanning distance:
For Web Use
- Size: Minimum 150×150 pixels.
- Use Case: Online articles, websites, emails, or any digital medium where users can scan the QR code up close.
- Reasoning: Most modern smartphones can scan QR codes that are relatively small on screens, but a size smaller than 150×150 may result in scanning difficulties.
For Print Media
- Size: Minimum 2×2 cm (0.8×0.8 inches).
- Scanning Distance: A general rule of thumb is 10 times the size of the QR code (e.g., a 2 cm QR code can be scanned from 20 cm away).
- Use Case: Flyers, brochures, business cards, or posters where the QR code may be scanned from varying distances.
- Reasoning: Printed QR codes need to be larger to accommodate scanning from further distances and account for any loss in clarity due to printing.

EOW Customer Support Policy
At Badger Meter, we are committed to supporting our utility partners by providing technical assistance and resources to their customer service teams. Due to the high volume of support requests we receive, our support representatives are unable to provide direct technical assistance to utility customers. This approach ensures that we can efficiently address issues at the utility level and provide the most effective support.
If a utility customer requires assistance with EyeOnWater, their first point of contact should be your utility’s customer service team. Utility CSRs can reference the CSR EyeOnWater FAQ for guidance. If further assistance is needed after reviewing the FAQ, the utility’s CSR team may escalate the issue to Badger Meter Technical Support for additional troubleshooting.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a smooth and efficient support process for all users.
