Your password must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 12 characters
- At least 1 number
- At least 1 upper case letter
- At least 1 lower case letter
- At least 1 special character (see list below)
- Must be different from your last 3 passwords
Special characters:
^ $ * . [ ] { } ( ) ? ” ! @ # % & / \ , > < ‘ : ; | _ ~ ` = + –
Tips for creating a strong password:
The best passwords are easy for you to remember and hard for others to guess. Try building yours from a simple phrase or personal goal, then add or remove spaces, capitalize random letters, and work in a special character or two.
To change or reset your password, use the Forgot Password function by following these steps:
- Logout from BEACON (click your user profile icon, then click Logout).
- Enter the email that you use to log into BEACON in the Username field then click Next.
- Click Forgot your password?.
- Enter your username then click Reset my password.
- Check your email inbox for a Reset Password email from Badger Meter. Open the email and copy the reset code. Note: The reset password link in the email expires after 48 hours.
- Enter the reset code in the Code field of the Reset password window.
- Enter your new password, then confirm the new password.
- Click Change password.
Accessing other portfolios
Users with access to more than one water utility may use the same email address and password combination for all portfolios when logging into BEACON to view a consolidated list of Utility portfolios in the login window.
NOTE: to maintain consolidated login view, changing your password credentials for one portfolio will necessitate the need to reset and change the password for all portfolios your email address is associated with.
When logging in to BEACON you will have the opportunity to select which portfolio to view from the Select Utility list.
- If the portfolio list spans multiple pages, enter the first few characters in the search field to narrow the results, or use the page navigation arrows to move forward (>) or backward (<) through the list.
- Click a Utility Name to access that portfolio.
After logging in to BEACON you can view a different portfolio by clicking Switch Utility in the User Profile drawer.
