Delete Account Requests

When customers move out, it’s essential to remove all customer-added emails and text numbers from their leak alert before using the Manage EOW page to remove their access to EyeOnWater.

Failure to remove emails and text numbers from leak alerts can and does result in customers continuing to receive alerts whether their account is active or closed.

NOTE: Deactivating a user’s EyeOnWater account has no effect on your billing system. Utility water accounts must be handled as a seperate transaction in your billing system.

That said, the EyeOnWater iOS and Android apps offer a Delete Account function that your customers might ask about.

Here is how the Delete EyeOnWater Account function works.

  1. Tap the Settings icon in the upper right corner and scroll down to select Delete EyeOnWater account. This opens the Delete EyeOnWater Account dialog.
  2. Use the drop-down menu and choose a reason for deleting your account. This helps guide us in removing your leak alerts and other data.
  3. Use the drop-down menu to select the account to delete (for users with more than one EyeOnWater account, this step is essential).
  4. Enter the email address that you use to log into EyeOnWater.
  5. If desired, type a message for our support team.
  6. Tap the box to confirm that you wish to delete your account.
  7. Tap Delete My Account.

From the EyeOnWater web portal, users can send an email to EyeOnWaterFeedback@badgermeter.com. They should include the username/email address used to log into EyeOnWater along with the account number(s) to delete.
